Em animais destinados ao abate, uma vez realizado o diagnóstico, estes devem ser abatidos o mais rápido possível, devido à rápida perda de peso e possível formação de abscessos com perda total da carcaça. O diagnóstico pode ser realizado através do exame clínico do aparelho locomotor e exame radiográfico. Este trabalho tem por objetivo relatar os achados radiográficos em um caso de epifisiólise suína. ABSTRACT The epiphysiolysis in swine is a disease of unknown origin and is regarded as a manifestation of osteocondrosis, in which a defect in endocondral ossification results in the weakening of fise, leading to a fracture of the neck of the femur and sudden or gradual lameness, in different degrees of severity . In animals intended to slaughter, once the diagnosis is done, they must be slaughtered as soon as possible, due to the rapid weight loss and possible formation of abscesses with total loss of the carcass. The diagnosis can be made through the physical examination of the locomotor system and radiographic examination.
